Director of Operations- Manufacturing
Due to tremendous growth, we are seeking an experienced Director of Operations who will be responsible for overall management of US Manufacturing Operations with focus on meeting customer expectations & commitments. He/She will be responsible for effective execution to operational and financial metrics, inventory management, developing and implementing plans for capacity & competency to be in line with organizations goals & objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties / Essential Functions:
- Ensure understanding of and support for Company strategy, core values and operational goals within areas of responsibility.
- Ensure operations capabilities meet or exceed business requirements and support company growth objectives.
- Accountable for all aspects of US Operations including Safety, Quality, Planning, Assembly, Shipping & Receiving, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Inventory and Logistics.
- Maintain accountability for operations finances.
- Provide leadership to the Safety team to ensure all policies and procedures are followed throughout the organization. Work with a safety first attitude and mentality.
- Always maintain Voice of the Customer and manage to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner or when the company is not meeting customer expectations. Be flexible, in response to dynamically changing conditions, e.g. business development opportunities and customer demand / customer issues. Lead by Example with setting a Customer Satisfaction culture all the way through the organization.
- Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives
- Review, analyze and drive internal performance measures, define and drive improvement on KPI’s in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost. Direct root cause countermeasures when necessary.
- Apply analytical skills to assess operational and financial data to identify opportunities and accurately assess impact to the organization.
- Drive the discipline in timely reporting of unplanned issues. Ensure integrity of the data. Respond to audit requirements
- Lead Continuous Process Improvement mindset and manufacturing culture. Utilize the principles and tools of operational excellence to reduce process complexity across the business.
- Execute on annual cost savings initiatives from both a material and labor perspective
- Interface with other departments to assess and improve existing processes.
- Foster partnership and teamwork across departments/locations throughout the company. Work closely with the entire senior leadership team to gain an in-depth knowledge of the business’ end-users, channels, products, applications and supply chain partners to fully understand what drives value and competitive advantage.
- Provide leadership directly and through operations management team to foster a culture and environment of teamwork, collaboration, accountability, respect and winning.
- Select employees, assign objectives, review performance and approve employee compensation.
- Facilitate the performance and talent management process for all direct reports including leadership effectiveness and career development opportunities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Operations Management or other related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial manufacturing, including 5 years of experience in a leader/management role with responsibility for manufacturing operations. Semiconductor equipment manufacturing experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing departments and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and the profitability of the business. Extensive experience and judgment to plan, execute and accomplish goals.
- Management experience in small to medium sized teams in a high-growth and dynamic matrixed environment.
- Quality control experience.
- Strategic planning experience

Work Environment:
This job operates in multiple areas, including a professional office environment, and cleanroom manufacturing environment. Incumbent will routinely use standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
Expected Hours of work:
Days and hours of work are typically through Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Additional hours beyond a 40-hour workweek may be required to meet business requirements for a two-shift operation.
Travel:
Some domestic travel expected (<20%).
